Money Moving Scams

The most active form of this scam is called “Nigerian Money Offers.”

Recently, e-mails have been delivered in mass asking people to help move money between accounts. Often, these e-mails claim to be from a representative from a foreign government. The most active form of this scam is called “Nigerian Money Offers.” Similar scams involving a soldier and one of a dying woman have also been reported. This scam nets approximately $100 million each year for the scam artists. If you receive one of these e-mails, do not respond.
